Lars Larsen Group and JYSK support emergency relief after earthquakes with DKK 2 million

To help the victims of the earthquake disaster in Türkiye and Syria, Lars Larsen Group and JYSK are donating a total of DKK 2 million to the Red Cross and UNICEF, who provide emergency aid in the affected areas.

The situation in the earthquake-stricken areas of Syria and Türkiye calls for action. Therefore, JYSK and Lars Larsen Group have decided to donate a total of DKK 2 million to the international humanitarian organisations Red Cross and UNICEF, which are already present in the areas where people need emergency aid the most.

"We, like everyone else, have followed the desperate situation after the earthquakes, and are deeply affected by the human tragedy that the natural disaster has caused for local populations. Therefore, in order to help the victims in the best possible way, we have decided to support the Red Cross and UNICEF's emergency relief work financially by donating DKK 2 million,” says Jesper Lund, President and CEO of Lars Larsen Group.

“The number of people in Türkiye and Syria affected by the earthquakes and the aftermath continues to rise hour by hour and thereby also the need for humanitarian aid. The Red Cross and UNICEF are already present in the affected areas and have the necessary expertise to provide the right and most effective effort which is so urgently needed. We hope our shared donation can be of value in that regard," says Jan Bøgh, President and CEO of JYSK.

In parallel with the financial support, JYSK is investigating whether the company can support with products from their assortment such as blankets, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, or other necessities for the people who suddenly find themselves without a home.
