Exceptional year for JYSK delivers record financial results across the company

With a continued strong focus on great offers and competitive prices, JYSK delivered record results on both turnover, EBIT and number of new customers in the financial year 2024/25

For the financial year 2024/25 (FY25), JYSK’s turnover increased by 11.8% to DKK 46.3 billion (EUR 6.2 billion), and EBIT reached DKK 5.6 billion (EUR 753 million), an increase of 26.9% compared to the last financial year. At the same time, JYSK welcomed 13.7 million new customers in its stores and web shops around the world.

“FY25 has truly been an exceptional year for JYSK despite the global uncertainties and political unrest that continues to put pressure on the retail market and on consumer spending. More than ever, consumers are looking for value for money and great offers, and I am very proud that our more than 34,000 colleagues around the world delivered great customer service, resulting in record results on turnover, EBIT, and number of new customers,” says Rami Jensen, President & CEO at JYSK.

As part of the FY25 annual results, JYSK has disclosed its Global Tax Footprint, which amounted to DKK 10.7 billion (EUR 1.4 billion). The total taxes reflect the tax cost for JYSK as well as the taxes JYSK is responsible for collecting and paying to tax authorities on behalf of employees, customers and other business partners.

Expansion and milestones
Expansion is part of JYSK’s DNA, and in FY25, JYSK opened its first stores on two new continents. In Morocco in Africa, JYSK opened its own stores, and in Uruguay in South America, the JYSK franchise setup opened stores.

“We have had a great start in both countries, and I am looking forward to seeing our expansion continue in Morocco and Uruguay. At the same time, we also still have great potential for opening more stores with great offers in the countries where we are already present to welcome even more customers to JYSK,” says Rami Jensen.

In FY25, JYSK opened 148 new stores with great offers within sleeping and living. By the end of FY25, JYSK operated a total of 3,575 stores across 50 countries. 225 of those stores cover 21 countries that are managed by local franchisees, while the remaining 3,350 stores across 29 countries are managed directly by JYSK.

JYSK also marked a special milestone in Ukraine in FY25, where the company celebrated its 20th anniversary in the country and opened store number 100. By the end of FY25, JYSK had 110 stores in Ukraine.

Stores reduce emissions
As part of JYSK’s climate targets, which are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), JYSK has committed to lowering its scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50.4% by the end of FY32. While opening new stores, JYSK’s FY25 results show that the company has managed to decrease overall emissions in scope 1 and 2 by 1.2% compared to FY22.

Most of the emissions in scope 1 and 2 come from the stores, and in FY25, JYSK lowered its emissions per store with 9% from FY22. For scope 3, JYSK is working to decouple emissions growth from our business growth, and this financial year, JYSK reduced emissions per tonne sold by 16.5% compared to FY22.

Looking ahead
In September 2025, at the beginning of the new financial year 2025/26 (FY26), JYSK launched their new global strategy, named “Customers’ first choice”, which will span FY26-28.

“Our new strategy sets the direction for the coming three years where we will focus on expanding in our existing countries, getting closer to customers in European metropolitan cities, and investing in our IT infrastructure and customer-facing platforms,” says Rami Jensen.

Although FY26 is the beginning of a new global strategy, some things will remain the same at JYSK.

“We will continue to deliver our great offers and great customer service, standing on our JYSK Values of Tradesmanship, Colleague and Corporate spirit,” says Rami Jensen.
