JYSK and Lars Larsen Group donate DKK 1 million to the “Knæk Cancer” campaign

To support cancer research, JYSK and Lars Larsen Group are donating DKK 1 million to Kræftens Bekæmpelse (The Danish Cancer Society, red), which for the 14th time has hosted the annual fundraising show “Knæk Cancer 2025” together with TV2.

According to Kræftens Bekæmpelse, one in three Danes will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 75, and two out of three will have a close relative affected by the disease.
Although research continues to make major progress in the fight against cancer, there is still a pressing need for more knowledge about what causes cancer, and how it can be prevented and cured.

“Cancer is a tough and life-changing disease that most of us have been affected by — either personally, by losing someone we care about, or by standing alongside someone who’s fighting it. That’s why we’re both grateful and proud to once again support “Knæk Cancer” and contribute to research and community, so no one has to face cancer alone,” says Jesper Lund, President & CEO of Lars Larsen Group.

Over the years, the “Knæk Cancer” campaign has helped fund 547 projects focusing on research, prevention, and patient support.

What the “Knæk Cancer” funds will support

This year, Kræftens Bekæmpelse has selected eight key areas that may receive funding from the campaign:

  • The Children’s Cancer Foundation
  • Immunotherapy
  • Cancer risk research
  • Young and talented cancer researchers
  • New innovative technologies and treatments
  • Integrated health interventions
  • Support for relatives and families
  • Social inequality in health behaviour and risk factors
